A. GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE [13.1-2]

B. GOD EXPECTS YOU TO USE WISDOM
IN PURSUING THAT PURPOSE [13.17-20]

1. Israel was to calculate the cost [Luke 14.28]

2. God wants you to be wise and use your head

C. YOUR FAITH WILL BE TESTED

1. An accurate report [13.25-29]

2. A faith proposal to move forward [13.30]

3. A bad report [13.31-14.1]

a. Unbelief exaggerates the obstacles

b. Unbelief minimizes who we are in Christ

c. Unbelief will harp on the obstacles [“What if…???”]

D. BY ALL MEANS…MOVE FORWARD! [13.30]

1. Remember: He who promised is faithful

2. Remember: He who promised has always been faithful

3. Don’t rehearse and exaggerate the obstacles

4. Think more about the land flowing with milk and honey
