Romans 12.2 The Will of God
Give yourself to God as a living sacrifice.
Be transformed by the renewal of your mind.
Test and approve what God’s will is.
A. THE WILL OF GOD FOR YOUR LIFE IS NOT A SECRET
What kind of God do we have?
Does he sit up in heaven arbitrarily choosing to keep us in the dark?
Does he hide his purposes from us to make us grope through
a gigantic guessing game with cosmic implications? Hardly!
That’s not the kind of God the Scriptures show ours to be.

The secret things belong to the LORD our God,
but the things that are revealed
belong to us and to our children forever,
that we may do all the words of this law.

B. THE WILL OF GOD FOR YOUR LIFE IS IN SCRIPTURE
1. Not feelings
2. Not conscience
3. Not desires
4. God’s Word in your mind
C. THE WILL OF GOD IS MODELED FOR US IN OUR SAVIOR
1. Rules for living in God’s will
2. The one rule necessary: Rom 8.29
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined
to be conformed to the image of his Son….
