Romans 12.1 What will my gift look like?
Give all that you are to God in all of life…
because my belief and my behavior belong together [”therefore”]
because of the many “mercies of God” [Rom 5-8]
A. WHY SACRIFICE?
1. We need to give up some things [a life of self denial]
2. We need to give all to God [a life of total dedication]
3. We need to put ourselves at God’s disposal
B. WHAT KIND OF SACRIFICE?
1. A life [”living sacrifice”]
a. God’s purpose for us is life
b. Living as a continual offering
c. Living out the Christian faith in life
2. A God pleasing life [”holy and acceptable”]
3. A real life [”spiritual worship”]
C. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I SACRIFICE?
1. Worship
2. Service
