The throne of grace…
Draw near…
The means of grace…
prayer, public worship, submission to God, the Word
How can I know that this grace will be there for me?
Therefore…
A. Because of WHO JESUS IS
1. The greatness of His person
He’s the Son of God [Heb 1]
2. The greatness of His office as High Priest
a. He washed away our sin [Heb 1.3]
b. He satisfies God’s justice [Heb 2.17]
3. The greatness of His sympathy
a. He’s experience all that we experience [Heb 4.15]
b. He lived this life as we have to live it [Heb 5.7-8]
B. Because of WHAT JESUS HAS DONE
…passed through the heavens… [Heb 4.14]
1. His death [2 Cor 5.21]
2. His resurrection
a. Paul [Rom 1.1-5]
b. Peter [1 Pet 1.3-5]
c. John [Rev 1.17-18]
3. His ascension [Heb 6.18-20]
4. His intercession
a. He always lives to pray for you [Heb 7.25]
b. No condemnation! He prays for you [Rom 8.34]
